There was 25 people in this session and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly! I was eternally grateful for the resourceful son who brought a bug bomb and rid the nature center of mosquitos. It might have been an itchy session otherwise. Each grandchild cozied up to one another and gave me the biggest smiles–there was hardly any fussing even from the 2 year-old! Getting a reunion picture is oh so important when you have family scattered all over the country. When you finally get everyone together, you need to seize the opportunity and have a photo taken. It is definitely easier said than done, but when you decide to do it–I will be there ready to capture the smiles.

My parents have a gorgeous piece of property in hill country Texas. Right before the heat of the summer, all of the wild flowers pop up and create the most beautiful canvas for a session. My sweet girl loves to pose and let me take some quick pictures in the flowers. I chose a white dress and neutral hat so the wildflowers would shine in the photo. I also kept the colors soft and muted in my editing so that it conveyed the peaceful feeling I get when seeing them. The hat is floppy, but it frames her face making it the focal point of the shot. These are all factors that play into a beautiful shot.
