I finally have my computer back from repairs! It has been a very long month! As you know from my previous post, my husband went on an adventure to Jordan and Jerusalem. He took some fabulous pictures and I would like to share them all with you. I hope you’ve had a great summer and I’m excited to be back in business:)
While my husband was on a three week adventure to Jordan and Jerusalem, I went to Blanco Texas to visit my mother. My dad also went on the trip so it was fun to spend some quality time with my mom and grandmother. My favorite part of the trip was peach-pickin time in Fredericksburg. There is an amazing orchard call “Marburger Orchard” that allows you to come in and pick peaches, blackberries, apples, strawberries and SO much more. They send us emails when the fruit is ready and we go early in the morning to beat the heat! Molly, my 4 year-old loved it, and so did her Barbie. Porter, my 1 1/2 year-old fell asleep.
There are so many amazing places in this quaint town, but the bugs and insects in hill country are awful. I had to make sure my kiddos wore boots all the time. Porter had these cutie Texan boots that he always had on. Every morning he would wake up, go outside and put his boots on while Nana watered the garden. It was a lot of fun.
Rockledge park was amazing. The light was beautiful and the water was beyond peaceful. This would be a great spot for family Christmas pictures with a gorgeous sofa.
Capture the now. It is hard to get a traditional family picture when you have a young family. Accept that fact that you only have a 25% chance of getting young kiddos to look at the camera. But the beautiful thing is that you can capture reality. This gorgeous family was having a moment in the bluebonnets. Don’t be afraid to let the photoshoot go the way of the kids. Accept that they are little and joyful. By capturing the joy, you will remember how you felt when they were young and perfect. Enjoy your time with them and capture the now!
